CIDBEC was incorporated in Malaysia on 21 February 2001 under the Companies Act, 1965. CIDBEC was formed pursuant to a joint venture agreement (JV Agreement) between CIDB and MIMOS dated 21 December 2000 (JV Agreement) Currently the company is wholly owned by CIDB Malaysia after it has fully took over all the shares of CIDBEC.

CIDBEC mission is to provide information and communication technology advice, solutions and services to enhance the capability and productivity of the Malaysian construction industry.
